the everyday activities of the Zen Center. We do this

compassionately, effectively, and professionally.

The Day Group Members are:

 

Mary Rios, Business Manager

Mary is responsible for all business transactions at the Zen Center and is a steady guiding hand in our day-to-day operations. Her kind and no-nonsense approach to management keeps the daily business operations running smoothly.

Katherine Senshin Griffith, Program Steward

is responsible for the operations support of the many Zen Center programs, including announcments, registration, organization and logistical arrangements. She is the Steward of the Day Group and Shared Stewardship and also lends support to members and newcomers. She updates and stewards the Zen Center's web site and calendar and is the main contact in the office.

Deb Faith-Mind Thoresen, Grounds, Membership and Facilities Steward

Faith-Mind cares for the overall visioning and maintainenance of the Zen Center's grounds and is often found happily deep in soil. She is also our Membership Seward and oversees the outreach to members and newcomers and as Facilites Steward, she oversees the maintenance of our buildings.

Tom Yudo Burger, Guest Steward

Yudo takes care of overnight guests, extended guests, and all of the guest quarters, which are sparkling clean. He is the person to contact, if you would like to stay at the Zen Center as a guest. He is also an expert in making sure that Zen Center members and visitors have a parking space.

John Plum-Hermit Swanger, Development Steward

Plum-Hermit has served in many staff and non-staff capacities over the years. In January 2011 he stepped into the Development Steward position and helps to oversee all aspects of the Center's development, outreach and fundraising, including all donor funds and the Legacy Circle. He is also involved in the planning, support, and design for many of the Center's facilities projects. He enjoys revolving in the Mandala.

Tom Dharma-Joy Reichert, Communications Steward

Dharma-Joy edits and produces our bi-monthly publication, The Water Wheel.  He oversees many aspects of the Zen Center's communications, including the library and archives.  Dharma-Joy has served on the Board of Directors for many years and makes amazing home-baked cookies every Thursday for tea following Dharma talks.
